Robots
From Bacterial Takeover
Robots are used to conduct resarch. They are only available in events and serve as a replacement for Scientists.
They function identically to Scientists, but cannot be purchased for Diamonds. One new Robot is awarded whenever you destroy a planet in the event.
It's also possible to earn a Robot through recycling a high rarity Evolved Bacteria.
