Doppelganger is a technology available at the Research tech tree of the Dark Matter Institute.
Researching Doppelganger grants one Scientist for free.
NB!
Similarly to purchasing Scientists with Diamonds, the Scientist obtained from this tech increases the price of the next Scientist by 
50.
The price is reduced again if the player resets the Research tree. Doing so, however, will return the Scientist.
