|question = Why is the math wrong?
|answer = Almost every aspect of the game revolves around math and numbers, so there are a lot of things that can go wrong or may seem to have gone wrong. One place in particular where the math doesn't seem to make sense is when destroying planets. The amount of Bacteria that is necessary to destroy the first 50% of the population is smaller than the amount to destroy the second 50%. This is actually intentional and is based on the SIR model, which predicts the spread of infectious diseases. In most other cases, strange or unexpected numbers may be due to rounding errors, the misconception that certain stats (e.g. RRT) should be additive instead of multiplicative, or - in rare instances - actual bugs.
