The droprates of high rarity Bacteria can be increased if you have obtained the [[Genome Corruption]] technology from the [[Dark Matter Institute]]. Another method for improving the drop rates is to fill out your [[Bacteria Collection]].

Before version 1.8.0, most of research options did not guarantee an Evolved Bacteria drop. In case of a successful research, all types had the same chance of dropping a high rarity Evolved Bacteria.
