Successful irradiation doubles the production of a random [[Colonies|'''colony''']]. Unsuccessful irradiation yields some [[Resources#Bacteria|bacteria]]. One colony can be irradiated multiple times.
The irradiation effect is lost when entering a '''[[Black Hole]]''' and the colonies have to be irradiated again.
Only one irradiation type can be researched at a time.
