Unlike most upgrades, the technologies in Dark Matter Institute are permanent and cannot be lost or reset.
The Institute has three tech trees. Purchasing an upgrade from one tree does not lock you in out from the other trees.
Each technology can only be purchased once and cannot be sold or disabled.
