Game Mechanics

  1. Why is the math wrong?
Almost every aspect of the game revolves around math and numbers, so there are a lot of things that can go wrong or may seem to have gone wrong. One place in particular where the math doesn't seem to make sense is when destroying planets. The amount of Bacteria that is necessary to destroy the first 50% of the population is smaller than the amount to destroy the second 50%. This is intentional and is based on the SIR model, which predicts the spread of infectious diseases. In most other cases, strange or unexpected numbers may be due to rounding errors, the misconception that certain stats (e.g. RRT) should be additive instead of multiplicative, or - in rare instances - actual bugs.

  2. What are the Gold Bacteria on my screen?
The Golden or Yellow Bacteria mean that you have an idle BPS bonus. Idle BPS bonus gives more Bacteria per second if no Bacteria has been produced from tapping for over a minute.

  3. What does the Black Hole do?
The Black Hole sends the player to an alternate timeline where none of the planets have been destroyed. All Gene Strand and Bacteria upgrades are lost, but the player obtains Dark Matter, which can be spent to research technologies in the Dark Matter Institute. It is not necessary to enter the Black Hole, but doing so can improve the speed at which you can destroy planets.

  4. Why is the last portion of a planet's population harder to destroy?
This is because the game bases the effectiveness of the bacteria on the SIR model. As the number of living hosts decreases, so do the possibilities to quickly spread the disease.

  5. Can I get a Space Communication code?
    Sure! Try "Is it salmonella"

  6. Why can't I reset Dark Matter Institute?
If you have Quantum Leap, you can only reset Dark Matter Institute if you have a free Scientist (who isn't on a planet or conducting any Research)

  7. Can I reach 100% reduced research time (RRT)?
No, this is because additional RRT decreases the remaining time instead of the original research time. For example, if you have three Evolved Bacteria equipped with RRT of 13.3%, 12.1%, 13.8%, then the total RRT would be 34.3% not 39.2%.

  1. How can I delete a save file?
Tap and hold on the save file you wish to delete. An option to delete the save file should appear shortly.

  2. Is there a way to reset game progress?
There is no in-game option to reset progress, but it is possible to restart by clearing the game data from the settings on your phone.

  3. Can I transfer a save file?
If you have logged in the game using a Google or Facebook profile, you can sync your progress and load it from another device. The option to save the game can be found in the lower left corner of the Settings menu.
